Stir Fry Beef With Carrots and Baby Sweet Peas
Quick and easy Beef stir fry with snow peas and carrots - unique flavors combine to make a delicious healthy and super easy meal.Beef Stir fry is one of the yummiest, quickest dinners to prepare and the fact that it is mostly made up of vegetables makes it light, nutritious and filling. Most of your preparation consists of slicing the vegetables beforehand, and you can speed this up by using a grater or food processor to finely chop your ingredients. You could also use a vegetable spiralizer to get a texture and shape that is similar to pasta, but has a fresh taste and minimal calories. To save time, you may even store already chopped vegetables in the fridge to cook when you are ready. It is best to use a wok to accommodate the selection of ingredients in Beef stir fry.Be careful not to overcook any of the ingredients as the deliciousness of beef stir fry comes largely from the crunchy freshness of its elements. It takes five to ten minutes to sear the beef until it is tender but not raw.The benefits of coconut oil are all over the internet, but olive oil and avocado oil are also great options to grease your pan with. Beef Stir fry is one of the most flexible meals and you can substitute any of the vegetables in this recipe with your personal favorites - or simply add them in. Certain fruits also make a great addition, the tastiest of which is pineapple. This adds in a fresh, summery taste and works well with mushrooms or zucchini. The intense taste of the sauce infuses the vegetables with flavour so you can use bland vegetables in your beef stir fry. Potato and sweet potato make for a starchier meal, while tomatoes and hot peppadews make a juicier meal. Broccoli, asparagus and sprouts create a fresh, crisp taste. Spring onions are also a popular choice. You can also exchange the beef strips to your preferred meat or protein. The beef strips can be replaced with tofu, pork or chicken. Bacon also tastes great in stir fry and can be added to chicken for a mixed flavour. Sesame seeds add an interesting texture and an Asian feel. For those following a banting or paleo diet, you can exchange the soy sauce with coconut aminos, which is a flavoured sauce that doesn't contain soy. If this is your dietary requirement you should also leave out the hoisin sauce.
Stir fry should be served immediately, as it is at its best texture and taste when it is hot. It can be served with white or brown rice or with fragrant basmati rice as well as rice noodles or cauliflower rice prepared with a healthy portion of butter. Zucchini pasta is another carb free complement to stir fry. It can be made with a vegetable spiralizer and then lightly fried. Stir fry can also be served in a bun for a heartier option. Cooking your stir fry should happen fast and at a high heat. It shouldn't take more than five minutes to finish frying.
You may like to add greek yoghurt or a sriracha or chilli sauce once served and garnish with green onions.
